SiGenix, Inc. has been awarded a contract to provide all the hardware and embedded software for a new portable COPD device for a medical device manufacturer.  The contract will be complete in less than 4 months.

SiGenix, Inc. has been awarded a contract to provide all the hardware and a significant portion of the embedded software for a new motor fault analysis system for an industrial drives company.  The contract will be complete in less than one year.

SiGenix, Inc. will provide the hardware and a majority of the embedded software to reduce the cost of an existing CPAP machine for a medical device manufacturer.  This is a continuation contract from the study conducted in November 2006.  The project is expected to be completed in April 2008 with the successful launch of the lower cost device.

SiGenix, Inc. announces it has been selected as a third party developer for Texas Instruments, Inc. As an approved developer for the Central Region of the United States , SiGenix will support product development for TI customers. SiGenix is approved for all TI products but will focus on the microcontroller and DSP offerings.

SiGenix, Inc. announces it has been selected as a third party developer for Renesas, Inc. As an approved developer for the Central Region of the United States , SiGenix will support product development for Renesas customers. SiGenix is approved for all Renesas products but will focus on the microcontroller offerings.

SiGenix, Inc. has been awarded a contract to for the complete development of a handheld hazardous gas detection system.  Sigenix will provide system design, hardware design & PCB layout, software design, testing and all documentation to bring this product to market.

SiGenix, Inc. has been awarded a contract to upgrade the BART SFO wayside ATP system.  This process includes modifying the software requirements specification, provide support for verification and validation, write and test software on the simulator and commission the software in the field.

SiGenix, Inc. has been awarded a contract to develop the embedded software for a gas detection system.  The contract is to be completed by the end of the year and will include all embedded software development, testing and documentation.

Trilogy Design is a joint venture between the two companies that will focus on product development and manufacturing for transit and niche markets. Trilogy Design will specialize in high efficiency, light weight power converter technology, LED message signs and Data logging and acquisition components. In addition, the company will provide application specific product development for highly specialized areas of technology.

SiGenix announces it has met its 2006 revenue goals during the first 5 months of the year. The rapid growth of the company is due to the high demand for hardware and software design support throughout Western, PA. SiGenix credits their success to a dedicated team of senior electrical engineers that have diverse capabilities, enabling rapid solutions to complex problems. The company also provides their customer with prototype manufacturing and PCB layout capabilities, enabling SiGenix to provide turnkey development projects. With the addition of a senior mechanical engineer in April 2006, SiGenix will be able to provide mechanical packaging solutions moving forward.

SiGenix, Inc. has been awarded the hardware and software development for a modular PC Board that will control a DC motor. The project enables the customer to quickly add motor control capability to any of their products. The software will be easily configurable to allow the customer to change motor parameters on the fly. This will allow for rapid prototyping of their products. This project will be completed in Q3 of 2006.

SiGenix, Inc. has been awarded the hardware and software development to add Ethernet connectivity to a kidney dialysis machine. The project is an add-on to Phase 2 that was awarded in Q2 of 2005. This will enable their customer to download dialysis data and system diagnostics information remotely from any PC. The connectivity is accomplished through the development of an Ethernet switch. This project enhancement is expected to be completed in Q3 of 2006.

SiGenix, Inc. has been awarded a software development contract to enhance an existing diagnostics system for a medical device manufacturer. These enhancements will enable respiratory technicians to process more data in an easier manner during patient sleep studies. Various enhancements will be on-going throughout 2006.

SiGenix, Inc. has been awarded the embedded software development for an I/O Processor as an add-on to the contract received 12/28/05. In addition to the PC Board design, SiGenix will develop all embedded software required for the I/O Processor. The project will be completed in Q3 of 2006.

SiGenix, Inc. has been awarded a software driver development contract for a new gas detection system. SiGenix will develop A/D, DAC, UART, Display and Diagnostics drivers to help their customer expedite system software development. The drivers will be completed in Q2 of 2006.

SiGenix, Inc. has been awarded the hardware and software development for a new conceptual ventilator for a venture funded medical device manufacturer. SiGenix will provide a microprocessor based printed circuit board with all the software to allow their customer the ability to test concepts and enhance their design. This phase of the project is expected to be completed in Q3, 2006. Phase 2, which will be awarded to SiGenix as well, is expected to start in Q4 of 2006.

SiGenix, Inc. has been awarded the software development to add Ethernet connectivity to a new generation ventilator. The project will enable their customer to download ventilator data remotely from any PC. The connectivity is accomplished through the development of embedded software. This phase of the project is expected to be completed in Q3, 2006. Phase 2, which will be awarded to SiGenix as well, is expected to start in Q4 of 2006 and will include the PC software development side of the connectivity.

SiGenix, Inc. and Daedalus Excel will provide a Jaundice detection system for a medical device manufacturer. Daedalus will be responsible for all industrial design and plastic molding while SiGenix will lead the hardware development effort. SiGenix will also provide software support to the project. The design will be completed by Q4 of 2006.

SiGenix, Inc. and B&C Transit will provide two custom power supplies to WMATA. The contract includes three hundred and thirty five 1680W units and one hundred and twenty six 60W units. SiGenix is responsible for the design and manufacturing, while B&C Transit will administer the contract including project management and test plan implementation. The design phase will be completed by Q4 of 2006 and all units will be delivered and installed in 2007.

SiGenix, Inc. has been awarded a printed circuit board design that will function as an I/O processor for an industrial drives company. The design will allow the customer to process complex analog and digital data and communicate that data over CANBUS and MODBUS. Additional features include a Real-Time Clock and a data logger. The project will be completed in Q2 of 2006.

SiGenix, Inc. has been awarded a motherboard integration contract to remove an obsolete motherboard from a kidney dialysis machine. The project is an add-on to Phase 2 that was awarded in Q2 of 2005. SiGenix will be responsible for porting the existing software to the new motherboard and running all V&V testing. This project enhancement is expected to be completed in Q3 of 2006.

SiGenix, Inc. has been awarded the software development for a new generation hospital hazardous gas detection system. As part of their venture philosophy, SiGenix will assist their customer by deferring development costs in lieu of a per unit commission. This innovative approach to financing enables their venture funded customer to reduce up front costs while providing SiGenix will long term revenue. Project completion will be expected in Q3 of 2006.

SiGenix, Inc. has been awarded the hardware and software development of a new ventilator for a medical device manufacturer. The ventilator will be an enhanced version of a current product. Enhancements include a more user friendly display that will provide more information to the patient and the respiratory therapist. Project completion will be expected in Q4 of 2005.

SiGenix, Inc. has been awarded the development contract for a highly efficient and small 100W medical power supply. The size and efficiency requirements are needed due to the customer’s desire for an ultra small, light weight ventilator. SiGenix will provide concurrent engineering support as part of the overall ventilator development team. Project completion will be expected in Q2 of 2006.

SiGenix, Inc. has been awarded a support contract to develop an ATP system for a transit system integrator. SiGenix will assign track circuit frequencies and time slot selections. In addition, SiGenix will provide documentation and V&V support throughout the project. Project completion will be expected in Q4 of 2006.

SiGenix, Inc. has been awarded a contract that will enable one of their customers to put together a patent defense case against that customer’s major competitor. No further details of this project can be released.

SiGenix, Inc. has been awarded Phase 2 of a cost reduction contract from a medical device manufacturer. Phase 2 will be the implementation of Phase 1, which was completed in April of 2005. The redesign of the kidney dialysis machine will substantially reduce manufacturing costs. SiGenix will design a single board controller to replace numerous obsolete PC Boards in order to capitalize on new technology and reduce manufacturing complexity. Additional mechanical cost reductions will also be implemented. Phase 2 is expected to be completed in April of 2006.

SiGenix, Inc. announces it has been selected as a third party developer for Power Integrations, Inc. As an approved developer for the US market, SiGenix will support product development for customers of Power Integrations. The partnership is designed to increase the sale of Power Integration controllers and increase the customer base for SiGenix.

SiGenix, Inc. Power announces it has been awarded the design upgrade contract for a series of medically approved power supplies for a medical device manufacturer. SiGenix will partner with ICE Components, Inc. of Manassas , VA to complete the contract. SiGenix will assume all design responsibility and project management, while ICE Components will provide all of the custom transformers, line filters and inductors. All power supplies will be designed to pass IEC-601-1 second edition and will be completed in July of 2005.

SiGenix, Inc. announces it has been awarded the manufacturing contract to construct several custom cables for a transportation solutions provider. The cables will be used to connect simulators to wayside cabinet hardware and field I/O. The cables are rugged, high value designs that meet the requirements of the transit industry. SiGenix will complete construction of all cables by April 2005.

SiGenix, Inc. announces it has been awarded the manufacturing contract to construct and test ten complex single board controllers for a transportation solutions provider. The boards consist of over 2,000 parts each and will be hand constructed by the SiGenix prototype development team. Arrow Electronics, Inc., the world's largest electronics distributor, has selected SiGenix, Inc. to become an Arrow Consulting Engineering Services (ACES) member. SiGenix has been selected to service Arrow customers around the country in all areas of electronic development but will focus on switching power supply design. The agreement is currently probationary as both companies will assess the partnership as it progresses.

SiGenix, Inc. announces it has been selected as a third party developer for Microchip, Inc. As an approved developer for the Central Region of the United States , SiGenix will support product development for Microchip customers. SiGenix is approved for all Microchip products but will focus on the microcontroller and DSP offerings.

SiGenix, Inc. announced it has been awarded multiple simulator development contracts to reduce product verification time for a transportation solutions provider. The simulators will allow their customer to quickly test transit components prior to shipment to the end customer. They will also be used in the field to verify system wiring in a faster time frame. Production costs and labor time are expected to be substantially reduced. SiGenix will complete all simulators by December 2004.

SiGenix, Inc. announced it has awarded Catalyst Sales, Inc. of Gibsonia , PA a manufacturer's representative contract. As such, Catalyst will begin marketing the SiGenix Engineering Services Business Unit in a five state area, including Pennsylvania, Ohio, West Virginia, Michigan and Indiana. Catalyst brings a force of 10 sales professionals and an applications engineer to the SiGenix team. Catalyst will give SiGenix substantial sales and marketing coverage and will provide customers an unparalleled level of service and support. The contract is expected to be signed by the end of September 2004.

The SiGenix, Inc. Transportation Business Unit will develop a variety of subsystems that will be installed on an undisclosed Port Authority transit system in October of 2004. SiGenix equipment will be installed by transit partner B&C Transit Consultants of San Leandro, CA. After proven success of the new subsystems, B&C Transit will be awarded a substantial rehab contract that will utilize the SiGenix equipment.

The SiGenix, Inc. Ventures Business Unit will providing evaluation services at no charge to the Pittsburgh Life Sciences Greenhouse in order to support the goal of seeding worthy medical device concepts. SiGenix will focus on the technical feasibility of products.

SiGenix, Inc. announced it has been awarded multiple test fixtures for a PC Board contract manufacturer. The custom fixtures will provide a connector-to-connector functional test and will be controlled by a PC running Visual Basic. SiGenix will deliver all test fixtures by October 2004.

These designs will include the use of CPLD devices to minimize component count and PC Board complexity. Production costs are expected to be reduced by at least 40%. The name comes from combining the atomic symbol for silicon “Si” and the word “ingenuity” further branding the companies expertise. The company has registered sigenix.com for the forthcoming web site.
