LVEDP Estimator
Handheld device and Android app for non-invasive measurement of Left Ventricular End Diastolic Pressure. Tests patients' pulse response to the Valsalva Maneuver using an embedded pressure transducer, PPG interface, and Bluetooth connectivity.
Noninvasive Pain Relief
Drug-free nerve block device using rapid hot/cold temperature therapy to deaden nerves at various body locations. Features a pump, heat exchanger, compressor, thermistors, advanced user interface, rechargeable battery, and Bluetooth data retrieval.
Hemolung
Minimally-invasive extracorporeal CO₂ removal (ECCO2R) respiratory assist system designed to help patients avoid intubation. SiGenix designed all electronics, PCB layout, controller software, and user interface.
Respiratory Devices
Multiple CPAP devices and ventilators utilizing brushless DC motor control, pressure and mass flow sensors, triggering algorithms, and custom interfaces. Team members hold patents for triggering algorithms and apnea detection.
Portable Ultrasound
Electronics design and software implementation for a versatile handheld ultrasound device developed with a startup group. Ultra-portable form factor with full diagnostic imaging capability.
Sonic Flashlight
Revolutionary ultrasound device originating from the University of Pittsburgh. The ultrasound image is projected onto a partially reflecting mirror on the probe, making it appear to the user that the image is directly on the patient's skin. Custom display hardware interfaces with an off-the-shelf ultrasound module.
Camera-Enabled Needle
FDA-cleared device allowing physicians to perform medical imaging through an 18-gauge needle. The probe transmits live video to a 7" monitor via 10,000 imaging fibers and 12 illumination fibers, with a custom video driver and tablet-based user interface.
Wearable Nausea Relief
Reliefband — a watch-like wrist device providing non-invasive nausea treatment via low-level electrical stimulation of the median nerve. SiGenix developed the waterproof Sport version with a patent-pending solid-state electrode drive circuit and skin-contact detection.
Hand Hygiene Compliance Monitor
Passive compliance tracking system monitoring hospital staff hand hygiene protocol without requiring behavior changes. Uses BLE technology with custom Yagi antennas for improved location accuracy and a mobile app for data reporting.
